WAYSCloud DNS — Nordic names, global reach

WAYSCloud DNS — Nordic names, global reach
Named after Nordic individuals — a quiet nod to those who helped shape the region.

DNS is one of those layers that quietly “just works” — until it doesn’t.

When it fails, the impact is immediate. Latency increases, services become unavailable, and users notice. Despite this, DNS is often treated as a basic utility rather than as a core part of infrastructure design.

WAYSCloud DNS takes a different approach.

Named after Nordic individuals — a quiet nod to those who helped shape the region — the service reflects a broader philosophy: infrastructure should be deliberate, transparent and under control.

A Nordic foundation

WAYSCloud DNS is anchored in a Nordic control layer, where clarity and predictability are part of the design.

The nameservers carry names inspired by figures such as Edvard Grieg, Astrid Lindgren, Alvar Aalto and Niels Bohr — representing creativity, structure, design and scientific rigor across the Nordic region.

This is not about symbolism alone, but about anchoring the platform in a tradition of thoughtful engineering and long-term thinking.

The nameservers are not just technical endpoints, but represent a consistent operational model — one where changes behave as expected, and where control is clearly defined.

This is not about complexity. It is about knowing how infrastructure works, and being able to rely on it.

Built for control and predictability

WAYSCloud DNS is an authoritative DNS service with full control over zones, records and signing.

It supports DNSSEC with automated key management, API-driven configuration, and fast propagation after delegation. The focus is not only on features, but on making behavior consistent and understandable. Infrastructure should not surprise you.

Global reach through anycast

While the control layer is Nordic, the network itself is global.

WAYSCloud DNS is backed by a distributed anycast network with more than 60 points of presence worldwide. Queries are routed to the nearest available location, ensuring low latency and high availability across regions.

This provides a balance between local control and global performance.

Designed for modern infrastructure

DNS is part of the infrastructure lifecycle and should integrate naturally with it.

WAYSCloud DNS includes full API support for zone management, record updates and DNSSEC configuration, making it easy to integrate into automation workflows, CI/CD pipelines and platform operations.

Simple by design

DNS hosting is included for WAYSCloud customers, with support for up to 50 DNS zones.

The goal is to keep the service accessible, while maintaining the level of control and predictability expected from core infrastructure.

A quiet but critical layer

DNS may sit in the background, but it remains one of the most important components in any platform.

WAYSCloud DNS is designed to be fast, predictable and operationally clear — built on Nordic principles, with global reach.
