Takeout brings together account export capabilities from across the WAYSCloud platform into a single, dedicated experience, making it easier than ever to access, export and retain your own data.
Customers can sign in using their WAYSCloud Connect or meil.no account to export data on demand, download account snapshots and configure recurring exports from a single location.
Your data remains yours
Since day one, WAYSCloud has been built around a simple principle: your data belongs to you.
Data portability is not new to WAYSCloud. Customers have always been able to export data from individual services and control panels across the platform.
Takeout does not introduce a new policy. It introduces a simpler experience.
Instead of navigating multiple services, customers can now manage exports, backups and account archives through a dedicated portal designed specifically for data portability and long-term retention.

Over the past months, questions have naturally been raised about WAYSCloud, our future and our ongoing corporate process. We understand those questions, and we believe the best response is openness.
As part of our transparency initiative, we are making full account exports, snapshots and backup functionality available at no additional cost.
Customers should never feel dependent on promises, assumptions or special requests. Access to your own information should be straightforward, verifiable and available whenever you need it.

What can be exported?
WAYSCloud Takeout is designed to provide portable access to data across both meil.no and the broader WAYSCloud platform. This includes:

Exports are delivered using open and documented formats wherever possible, including MBOX, iCalendar (ICS), vCard (VCF), JSON, PDF and original file formats.
Every export includes verification manifests with SHA-256 checksums to allow independent integrity verification.
Passwords, secret keys, API secret values, tokens and other credentials are never included in exports.
